Traffic Signs and Carriageway Markings (Amendment)

Regulations, 2011

IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 54 of the

Traffic Regulation Ordinance, the Minister for Infrastructure,

Transport and Communications has, after consultation with the

Authority for Transport in Malta, made the following regulations:-

The title of these regulations is the Traffic Signs and Title.

Carriageway Markings (Amendment) Regulations, 2011 and

they shall be read and construed as one with the Traffic Signs and

Carriageway Markings Regulations, 1969, hereinafter referred to L.N. 94 of 1969.

as “the principal regulations”.

In sub-paragraph (c) of paragraph B of Part III of the

Schedule to the principal regulations –

(a) for the word “cabs” wherever it appears there shall

be substituted the word “karrozzini”;

(b) for the item “CAB STAND” under item (6) there

shall be substituted the following item

“(6)

ELECTRIC MINI CAB STAND”; and

(c) immediately after item (6) there shall be inserted the

following new item

B

“ (6A)

KARROZZINI STAND”.
