ENVIRONMENT AND DEVELOPMENT PLANNING ACT

(CAP. 504)

Commencement Notice

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by sub-article (2) of

article 1 of the Environment and Development Planning Act, 2010,

the Prime Minister has established the following dates for the

coming into force of the Environment and Development Planning

Act:-

(a) the 30 th November, 2010 as the date when the

provisions of articles 1 to 38, 40, 42 to 50, 56, 57, 58(1), (2)

(a) to (l), 60 to 66, 68(1), 71, 72, 75, 77 to 85, 95 to 97 and the

First Schedule, the Fourth Schedule and the Fifth Schedule to

the Act shall come into force; and

(b) the 31 st December, 2010 as the date when the

provisions of articles 41, 67, 68(2) to (6), 69, 70, 73, 74, 76,

86 to 94 and the Second Schedule, the Sixth Schedule, the

Seventh Schedule and the Eighth Schedule to the Act shall

come into force.
