(CAP. 460)

Protocol (No. 36) on Transitional Provisions Order, 2010

BY VIRTUE of the powers conferred by article 2(2) of the

European Union Act (Cap. 460), the Prime Minister has made the

following Order:-

The title of this Order is the Protocol (No. 36) on

Transitional Provisions Order, 2010.

In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires

“the Act” means the European Union Act;

“the Protocol” means Protocol (No. 36) on Transitional

Provisions annexed to the Treaty on European Union, the

Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union and the

Treaty establishing the European Atomic Energy Community.

For the purposes of article 2(2) of the Act, it is hereby

declared that the Protocol shall be deemed as one with the Treaties

above-mentioned as soon as the Protocol comes into force for

all the countries which are signatories thereto, as provided in the

second paragraph of the Preamble to the Protocol.
