Electronic Communications Networks and Services (General)

(Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 2010

IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 34 of the

Electronic Communications (Regulation) Act, the Minister for

Infrastructure, Transport and Communications, after consultation

with the Minister for Finance, the Economy and Investment and

with the Malta Communications Authority, has made the following

regulations

(1) The title of these regulations is the Electronic

Communications Networks and Services (General) (Amendment)

(No. 2) Regulations, 2010 and they shall be read and construed as

one with the Electronic Communications Networks and Services

(General) Regulations, 2004, hereinafter referred to as “the

principal regulations”.

(2) These regulations shall come into force on the 4th

March, 2011.

Part B of the Eleventh Schedule to the principal

regulations shall be amended as follows

(a) paragraphs (a) and (b) thereof shall be deleted;

(b) paragraphs (c) and (d) thereof shall be renumbered

as paragraphs (b) and ( c) respectively;

(c) immediately before paragraph (b) thereof as

renumbered there shall be inserted the following new

paragraph

“(a) for each paired 5MHz channel in the 900

MHz and, or 1800 MHz bands …………… €224,000”.
