Bye-Laws of2010 to amend the Bye-Laws of 2005 for the Selection of Applicants

for Admission to the Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree Course under the

auspices of the Institute of Health Care

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred upon him by articles 74(5) and

75(6) of the Education Act (Cap. 327), the Chancellor of the University of

Malta has promulgated the following bye-laws made by the Board of the

Institute of Health Care in virtue of the powers conferred upon it by article

81 (1) of the said Act and which have been approved by the Senate of the

University of Malta as required by article 81 (2) of the said Act

These bye-laws may be cited as the Bye-Laws of 2010 to amend the Bye-

Laws of 2005 for the Selection of Applicants for Admission to the Bachelor of Science

(Honours) Degree Course and shall be read and construed as one with the Bye-Laws of

2005 for the Selection of Applicants for Admission to the Bachelor of Science

(Honours) Degree Course, under the auspices of the Institute of Health Care, published

as Legal Notice 299 of2005, hereinafter referred to as "the principal bye-laws".

Applicability

These bye-laws shall be applicable for courses commencing in October 2010

or later.

Amendment to the title of the principal bye-laws

The title of the principal bye-laws shall be substituted by the following

"Bye-Laws of 2010 for the Selection of Applicants for Admission to the

Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree Course under the auspices of the Faculty of

Health Sciences".

Amendment to bye-law 2 of the principal bye-laws

For bye-law 2 of the principal bye-laws there shall be substituted. the

following

"Selection of Applicants

2. In the cases referred to in bye-law I, when the number of eligible applicants

exceeds the number of places in the course established by Senate, the selection of

applicants shall be made according to the criteria listed in bye-law 3."
