Administrative Review Tribunal (Establishment of Panels)
(Amendment) Regulations, 2010
IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 16 of the
Administrative Justice Act, the Minister for Justice and Home Affairs
has made the following regulations:-
(1)
The title of these regulations is the Administrative Title and
Review Tribunal (Establishment of Panels) (Amendment) commencement.
Regulations, 2010 and these regulations shall be read and construed
as one with the Administrative Review Tribunal (Establishment of S.L. 490.04
Panels) Regulations, hereinafter referred to as "the principal
regulations".
(2) These regulations shall be deemed to have come into force
on 1 st June, 2010.
The words "General Jurisdiction Panel." in regulation 2 of Amendment of
the principal regulations shall be substituted by the following words: regulation
the principal
regulations.
"Professions’ Regulation Panel
General Jurisdiction Panel.".
Regulation 3 of the principal regulations shall be Amendment of
regulation 3 of
amended as follows
the principal
regulations.
(a)
sub-regulation (5) thereof shall be substituted by
the following
"(5) The assistants appointed on the Fiscal Panel
shall be competent to deal with disputes under the
following legislation
(a) the Income Tax Act - Cap. 123;
(b) the Import Duties Act - Cap. 337;
(c) the Income Tax Management Act - Cap.372;
and
(d) the Excise Duty Act - Cap. 382.";
(b)
sub-regulation (7) thereof shall be renumbered as
sub-regulation (8); and
(c)
immediately after sub-regulation (6) thereof, there
shall be added the following sub-regulation
"(7) The assistants appointed on the Professions’
Regulation Panel shall be competent to deal with disputes
under the following legislation
(a) the Accountancy Profession Act - Cap. 281;
(b) the Engineering Professions Act - Cap. 321;
and
(c) the Periti Act - Cap. 390.".
