Correction of Laws Order, 2010 (Cap. 416)

IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 7(3) of the Statute

Law Revision Act, 1980, the Law Commission has made the

following correction

Subarticle (2) of article 72 of the Maltese version of the

Trademarks Act shall read as follows

"(2)

Persuna ma tagħmilx reat kontra dan l-artikolu

ħlief meta -

(a) l-oāāetti li dwarhom isir ir-reat ikunu oāāetti

li dwarhom tkun reāistrata t-trademark, jew

(b) it-trademark ikollha riputazzjoni f’Malta u l-

uŜu tas-sinjal jieħu jew kieku jieħu vantaāā mhux āust ta’,

jew ikun jew kieku jkun detrimentali għax-xorta distintiva

jew ir-riputazzjoni tat-trademark.".

The Minister for Justice and Home Affairs has appointed

the 1st January, 2001 as the date on which the correction made by the

Law Commission and published by this Legal Notice shall come into

force.
