ENGINEERING PROFESSION ACT

Indemnity Insurance (Amendment) Regulations, 2010

IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 21 of the

Engineering Profession Act, hereinafter referred to as “the Act”,

the Minister for Resources and Rural Affairs, after consulting

the Engineering Profession Board, has made the following

regulations:-

The title of these regulations is the Indemnity Insurance Citation.

(Amendment) Regulations, 2010, and they shall be read and L.N. 251 of 1998.

the words “or any person who is granted a special licence

under this Act, or any person who exercises the profession of

engineer on a temporary and occasional basis,”; and

(b) in sub-regulation (2) thereof, immediately after

the words “any person holding the warrant of engineer” there

shall be added the words “or any person who is granted a

special licence under this Act, or any person who exercises

the profession of engineer on a temporary and occasional

basis.”.

Regulation 5 of the principal regulations shall be Amends regulation

amended as follows

(a) in sub-regulation (1) thereof, for the words

“€81,528.07” there shall be substituted the words “one

hundred thousand euro (€100,000)”, and in the proviso

thereto immediately after the words “Provided that a warrant

holder” there shall be added the words “or any person who

is granted a special licence under this Act, or any person

who exercises the profession of engineer on a temporary and

occasional basis,”; and

(b) in sub-regulation (5) thereof, immediately after the

words “Every warrant holder” there shall be added the words

“or any person who is granted a special licence under this Act,

or any person who exercises the profession of engineer on a

temporary and occasional basis,”.
