DUTY ON DOCUMENTS AND TRANSFERS ACT

Duty on Documents and Transfers (Amendment) (No. 2) Rules,

IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 22 of the Duty

on Documents and Transfers Act, the Minister of Finance, the

Economy and Investments has made the following rules:-

(1) The title of these rules is the Duty on Documents

and Transfers (Amendment) (No. 2) Rules, 2009, and shall be read

and construed as one with the Duty on Documents and Transfers

Rules, 1993, hereinafter referred to as “the principal rules”.

(2) These rules shall come into force on the 1st

January, 2010.

For the words “within fifteen days” in sub-rule (6) of

rule 10 of the principal rules there shall be substituted the words

“within twenty one days”.
