DEVELOPMENT PLANNING ACT

(CAP. 356)

Development Planning (Planning Obligation) Regulations,

IN virtue of the powers conferred by sub-article (3) of

article 40 and of subarticle (1) of article 60 of the Development

Planning Act, the Prime Minister, after consultation with the Malta

Environment and Planning Authority, has made the following

regulations

The title of these regulations is the

Development

Planning (Planning Obligation) Regulations, 2009.

No planning obligation imposing a payment, as indicated

in paragraph (b) of subarticle (1) of article 40 of the Development

Planning Act, may be imposed on an applicant for a development

permission in respect of a development of a national or strategic

significance or a development affecting matters of national

security.
