Administrative Review Tribunal (Establishment of Panels)

(Amendment) Regulations, 2009

IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 16 of the

Administrative Justice Act, the Minister for Justice and Home Affairs

has made the following regulations:-

(1)

The title of these regulations is the Administrative Title and

Review Tribunal (Establishment of Panels) (Amendment) commencement.

L. N. 350 of

Regulations, 2009 and these regulations shall be read and construed 2008.

as one with the Administrative Review Tribunal (Establishment of

Panels) Regulations, 2008, hereinafter referred to as "the principal

regulations".

(2) These regulations shall be deemed to have come into force

on the 1 st September, 2009.

The words "General Jurisdiction Panel." in regulation 2 of Amendment of

the principal regulations shall be substituted by the following words: regulation

the principal

regulations.

"Fiscal Panel

General Jurisdiction Panel.".

Regulation 3 of the principal regulations shall be Amendment of

regulation 3 of

amended as follows

the principal

regulations.

(a)

sub-regulation (4) thereof shall be substituted by

the following

“(4) The assistants appointed on the Transport

Panel shall be competent to deal with disputes under the

following legislation

(i)

S.L.65. 19 - Motor Vehicles (Carriage of

Goods by Road) Regulations;

(ii) S.L. 368.01 - Exemption from Motor

Vehicles Registration Tax Rules; and

(iii) S.L. 368.02 - Registration and Licensing of

Motor Vehicles Regulations;

(b)

sub-regulation (5) thereof shall be renumbered as

sub-regulation (6); and

(c)

immediately after sub-regulation (4) thereof, there

shall be added the following sub-regulation

"(5) The assistants appointed on the Fiscal Panel

shall be competent to deal with disputes under the Duty on

Documents and Transfers Act.".
