PRODUCT SAFETY ACT

(CAP. 427)

Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and

Mixtures (CLP) (Implementation) Regulations, 2009

IN exercise of the powers conferred by articles 38 to 40 of the

Product Safety Act, the Minister of Finance, the Economy and

Investment, on the advice of the Malta Standards Authority, has made

the following regulations:-

(1) The title of these regulations is the Classification, Title and scope.

Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP)

(Implementation) Regulations, 2009.

(2) These regulations implement the provisions of articles 43,

44, 45, 47, 60, 61 and 62 of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 of the

European Parliament and of the Council of 16 December 2008 on

classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures,

amending and repealing Directives 67/548/EEC and 1999/45/EC, and

amending Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006.
