Cosmetic Products (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 2009

IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 39 of the

Product Safety Act, the Minister of Finance, the Economy and

Investment has, on the advice of the Malta Standards Authority,

made the following regulations:-

The title of these regulations is the Cosmetic Products Citation.

(Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 2009, and they shall be read

and construed as one with the Cosmetic Products Regulations, S.L. 427.58

hereinafter referred to as “the principal regulations”.

These regulations shall apply as from 5th November,

2009; however, the provisions concerning the substance toluene, as

set out in regulation 5 under reference number 185, shall apply as

from 5th February 2010.

These regulations implement the provisions of Scope.

Commission Directive 2009/6/EC of the 4th February 2009

amending Council Directive 76/768/EEC, concerning cosmetic

products, for the purpose of adapting Annexes II and III thereto to

technical progress.

In the Second Schedule to the principal regulations the

following reference numbers shall be added after entry 1369
