Control of Volatile Organic Compound-VOC Emissions
(Storage and Distribution of Petrol from Terminals to Service
Stations) (Amendment) Regulations, 2009
BY virtue of the powers conferred by articles 3, 9 and 28 of
the Environment Protection Act, the Prime Minister has made the
following regulations:-
The title of these regulations is the Control of Volatile Citation.
Organic Compound-VOC Emissions (Storage and Distribution
of Petrol from Terminals to Service Stations) (Amendment)
Regulations, 2009, and they shall be read and construed as one L.N. 54 of 2009.

(Storage and Distribution of Petrol from Terminals to Service
Stations) Regulations, 2009, hereinafter referred to as “the principal
regulations”.
Regulation 2 of the principal regulations shall be
amended as follows
(a) in the English text only, for the definition “existing
petrol storage installations, loading installations, service
stations and mobile containers” there shall be substituted the
following new definition
“existing service stations” means service stations
granted development planning consent before the 30
June 2012;”;
(b) in the English text only, for the definition “new
petrol storage installations, loading installations, service
stations and mobile containers” there shall be substituted the
following new definition
“new service stations” means service stations
granted development planning consent after the 30 June
2012;”; and
(c) in the Maltese text, the definitions “istallazzjonijiet
ta’ ħażna tal-petrol, istallazzjonijiet għat-tagħbija, stazzjonijiet
tal-petrol u containers mobbli eżistenti” and “istallazzjonijiet
ta’ ħażna tal-petrol, istallazzjonijiet għat-tagħbija, stazzjonijiet
tal-petrol u containers mobbli ġodda” after the definition
“ħażna temporanja ta’ fwar” shall be deleted.
