Traffic Signs And Carriageway Markings (Amendment)

Regulations, 2009

IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 54 of the Traffic

Regulation Ordinance and by article 33 of the Malta Transport

Authority Act, the Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and

Communications has, after consultation with the Malta Transport

Authority, made the following regulations

The title of these regulations is the Traffic Signs and

Carriageway Markings (Amendment) Regulations, 2009 and

they shall be read and construed as one with the Traffic Signs and

Carriageway Markings Regulations, 1969, hereinafter referred to as

“the principal regulations”.

In the principal regulations, wherever they appear

(a) for the word “omnibus” there shall be substituted

the words “motor route bus”; and

(b) for the word “omnibuses” there shall be substituted

the words “motor route buses”.
