Plant Protection Products Regulations (Amendment), 2009

IN exercise of the powers conferred by articles 4 and 5 of the

Pesticides Control Act, the Minister for Resources and Rural Affairs,

in consultation with the Prime Minister and with the Minister for

Social Policy, has made the following regulations:-

(1) The title of these regulations is the Plant Protection

Products (Amendment) Regulations, 2009 and they shall be read

and construed as one with Plant Protection Products Regulations,

2004, hereinafter referred to as “the principal regulations”.

(2) The scope of these regulations is to transpose

Commission Decision 782 correcting Directive 2007/5/EC

amending Council Directive 91/414/EEC to include captan, folpet,

formetanate and methiocarb as active substances of 7 October 2008

and Commission Decision 791 correcting Directive 2008/40/EC

amending Council Directive 91/414/EEC to include amidosulfuron

and nicosulfuron as active substances of 10 October 2008.

Schedule IV to the principal regulation shall be amended

as follows:-

(a) for items 151 to 154 there shall be substituted the
