Designation of Courts (Amendment) Regulations, 2008

IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 1009B of the

Code of Organization and Civil Procedure, the Minister for Justice

and Home Affairs, has made the following regulations:-

(1)

The title of these regulations is the Designation of

Courts (Amendment) Regulations, 2008 and shall be read and

construed as one with the Designation of Courts Regulations, 2008,

hereinafter referred to as "the principal regulations".

(2) These regulations shall be deemed to have come into force

on the 13 th November 2008

The words "Council Regulation (BC) No 1348/2000 of the

29 May 2000 on the service in the Member States of judicial and

extrajudicial documents in civil or commercial matters published in

the Official Journal of the European Communities on 30 June 2000"

in paragraph (a) of subregulation (2) of regulation 2 of the principal

regulations shall be substituted by the words "Regulation (EC) No

1393/2007 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 13

November 2007 on the service in the Member States of judicial and

extrajudicial documents in civil or commercial matters (service of

documents);".
