Type Approval of Agricultural or Forestry Tractors

(Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 2008

IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 38 to 40 of the

Product Safety Act, the Minister of Finance, the Economy and

Investment, on the advice of the Malta Standards Authority has made

the following regulations>–

The title of these regulations is the Type Approval Agricultural Citation.

or Forestry Tractors (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 2008, and they

shall be read and construed as one with the Type Approval Agricultural

or Forestry Tractors Regulations, 2005, hereinafter referred to as “the L.N. 123 of 2005.

principal regulations”.

This regulation implements the following requirements>–

Scope.

(a) Directive 2008#2#EC of the European Parliament and of

the Council of 15 January 2008 on the field of vision and

windscreen wipers for wheeled agricultural or forestry tractors

(codified version)< and

(b) Council Directive 77#537#EEC of 28 June 1977 on the

approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to the

measures to be taken against the emission of pollutants from diesel

engines for use in wheeled agricultural or forestry tractors.

For Schedule VIII to the principal regulations, there shall be Substitutes

Schedule VIII to the
