Healthcare Professions Act (Amendment of Fourth Schedule)

Regulations, 2008

IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 51 of the Healthcare

Professions Act, the Minister for Social Policy has made the following

regulations>–

The title of these regulations is the Health Care Professions

Act (Amendment of Fourth Schedule) Regulations, 2008, and they shall

be read and construed as one with the Fourth Schedule to the Healthcare

Professions Act, hereinafter called “the Fourth Schedule”.

In Part I of the Fourth Schedule, for paragraph (d) of article 1

there shall be substituted the following>–

“(d) it has a minimum of fifteen full members registered

with the relevant Council>

Provided that in respect of medical practitioners the fifteen

full members have to be registered as specialists with the relevant

Council>”.

In the classification “- Medical Practitioners” in Part II of the

Fourth Schedule, the following associations shall be deleted>

“The Maltese Association of Specialists in Psychiatry”< and

“ The Geriatric Medicine Society of Malta”.
