Extension of Applicability to Service with Government
(Parental Leave Entitlement Regulations and Urgent Family
Leave Regulations) Regulations, 2007
IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 48 of the
Employment and Industrial Relations Act, the Prime Minister has made
the following regulations>–
(1) The title of these regulations is the Extension of
Applicability to Service with Government (Parental Leave Entitlement
Regulations and Urgent Family Leave Regulations) Regulations, 2007.
(2) These regulations shall come into force on such date as
the Prime Minister may establish by notice in the Gazette.
Article 10 of the Employment and Industrial Relations Act, in
so far as it is the empowering provision by virtue of which the Parental
Leave Entitlement Regulations, 2003 and the Urgent Family Leave
Regulations, 2003 were issued, shall be applicable to service with the
Government.
