Wood in the Rough (Repeal) Regulations, 2007

IN exercise of the powers conferred by articles 38 to 40 of the

Product Safety Act, the Minister for Competitiveness and

Communications, on the advice of the Malta Standards Authority, has

made the following regulations>–

(1) The title of these regulations is the Wood in the Rough Title and

commencement.

(Repeal) Regulations, 2007.

(2) These regulations shall enter into force as from 31 st

December 2008.

These regulations implement the provisions of Decision No. Scope.

714#2007 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 June

2007 repealing Council Directive 68#89#EEC on the approximation of

the laws of the Member States concerning the classification of wood in

the rough (OJ L 163, 23.6.2007, p. 16 – 16).

The Wood in the Rough Order, 2000 (Order No. 44 of 2000) Repeals L.N. 183

of 2000.

is hereby being repealed.
