PRODUCT SAFETY ACT

The Detergents (Implementation) Regulations, 2007

IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 39 of the Product

Safety Act, the Minister for Competitiveness and Communications, on

the advice of the Malta Standards Authority has made the following

regulations>

(1) The title of these regulations is The Detergents Citation and

commencement.

(Implementation) Regulations, 2007.

(2) These regulations implement the provisions of

Regulation (EC) No. 648#2004 of the European Parliament and of the

Council of 31 st March 2004 on detergents as amended by Regulation

(EC) No. 907#2006 of 20 June 2006.

(3) These regulations shall come into force on the date of

publication.

The Malta Standards Authority shall be the competent authority Establishment

within the meaning of Article 8(1) of Regulation (EC) No. 648#2004. of

authority.

The information specified in Article 11(2), (3), (4) and (5) of Labelling.

Regulation (EC) No. 648#2004 must appear in at least one of the

following languages>

Maltese,

English,

Italian.

The Detergents and Related Products Order, 2000 (Order No. Repeals

L.N. 240 of 2000.

48 of 2000), is hereby repealed.
