Airborne Noise Emitted by Household Appliances (Repeal)

Regulations, 2007

IN exercise of the powers conferred by articles 38 to 40 of the

Product Safety Act, the Minister for Competitiveness and

Communications, on the advice of the Malta Standards Authority, has

made the following regulations>–

(1) The title of these regulations is Airborne Noise Emitted Citation, scope and

commencement.

by Household Appliances (Repeal) Regulations, 2007.

(2) These regulations implement the requirements of article

22 of Directive 2005#32#EC 1 of the European Parliament and of the

Council of 6 th July 2005 Establishing a Framework for the Setting of

Ecodesign Requirements for Energy-Using Products and Amending

Council Directive 92#42#EEC 2 and Directives 96#57#EC 3 and

2000#55#EC 4 of the European Parliament and of the Council, hereinafter

referred to as “the Directive”.

(3) These regulations shall come into force on the 11 th

August, 2007.

The Airborne Noise Emitted by Household Appliances Repeals L.N. 91 of

2002. Regulations, 2002 are hereby being repealed.
