PESTICIDES CONTROL ACT

Maximum Residue Levels of Pesticides in Produce of Plant

Origin (Amendment) (No. 4) Regulations, 2007

IN exercise of the powers conferred by articles 4 and 5 of the

Pesticides Control Act, the Minister for Rural Affairs and the

Environment has made the following regulations >-

The title of these rules is the Maximum Residue of Pesticides Title.

in Produce of Plant Origin (Amendment) (No. 4) Regulations, 2007

and they shall be read and construed as one with Maximum Residue

Levels of Pesticides in Produce of Plant Origin Regulations, 2004, L.N. 199 of 2004.

Schedule II to the principal regulations shall be amended as Amends Schedule

II to the principal

(1) under the ingredient CYFLUTHRIN, immediately after

the item Celeriac there shall be added the item ‘Celery’ with MRL

‘0,02’<

(2) under the ingredient METIRAM, in column 2 next to

the item Bulb Vegetables others there shall be added ‘0,05’<

(3) under the ingredient PENCONAZOLE , in column 2

next to the item Papaya, there shall be added ‘0,05’<

(4) under the ingredient METHIDATION, in column 2 next

to the item Cotton seed, MRL ‘5’, shall be deleted<

(5) next to the ingredient MALEIC HYDRAZIDE, MRL

‘0,02(*)(p)’ shall be substituted by ‘0.2(*)(p)’<

(6) under the ingredient GLYPHOSATE, next to the item

Table and wine grapes, there shall be added ‘0,5(p)’<

(7) under the ingredient GLYPHOSATE, the MRL’s next

to the items Table grapes and Wine grapes, shall be deleted<

(8) under the ingredient GLYPHOSATE, next to the item

Beans (with pods), under Column 2, the MRL ‘0,1(*)(p)’, shall be

deleted<

(9) under the ingredient GLYPHOSATE, next to the item

(v) LEGUME VEGETABLES (fresh), in Column 2, there shall be

added, ‘0,1(*)(p)’<

(10) under the ingredient FENTHION, the MRL ‘2’, next

to the item Bananas, shall be deleted<

(11) under the ingredient FENPROPIMORPH, the MRL

in Column 2, next to item (iv) BRASSICA VEGETABLES, shall be

deleted<

(12) under the ingredient FENPROPIMORPH, in Column

2, next to item (a) Flowering brassica, there shall be added

‘0,05(*)’<

(13) under the ingredient FENPROPIMORPH, in Column

2, next to item (vi) LEGUME VEGETABLES (fresh), there shall

be added ‘0,05(*)’<

(14) under the ingredient FENPROPIMORPH, the MRL

next to item Beans (with pods), shall be deleted<

(15) under the ingredient TRIFLOXYSTROBIN, in Column

2, next to item Plums, there shall be added ‘0.2(p)’<

(16) under the ingredient TRIFLOXYSTROBIN, in Column

2, next to item (b) Strawberries (other than wild) MRL ‘0,02(*)(p)’,

shall be substituted by ‘0,5(*)(p)’<

(17) under the ingredient TRIFLOXYSTROBIN, in Column

2, next to the item (i) ROOT AND TUBER VEGETABLES, there

shall be added ‘0,02(*)(p)’<

(18) under the ingredient TRIFLOXYSTROBIN, in Column

2, the MRL next to item (vi) LEGUME VEGETABLES (fresh),

shall be deleted<

Column 2, next to item Beans (with pods), there shall be added

added the item, ‘Others’ and next to it in Column 2, there shall be

next to the item Others, the MRL shall be deleted<

(26) under the ingredient TRIMETHYL-SULFONIUM,

there shall be added ‘0,05(*)(p)’ next to the item (iv) STONE

(27) under the ingredient TRIMETHYL-SUFONIUM, the

MRL next to the item Apricots shall be deleted<

(28) under the ingredient LINURON, there shall be added

‘0,1(p)’ next to the item Fennel<.

(29) under the ingredient THIOPHANATE-METHYL, the

MRL next to (vi) Miscellaneous, shall be deleted<

(30) under the ingredient TRIFLOXY-STROBIN, there

shall be substituted next to the item

(b) Strawberries (other than wild), the MRL ‘0,5(*)(p)’<

(31) under the ingredient CARFENTRAZONE-ETHYL,

there shall be added next to the item 2. Vegetables, fresh or

uncooked, frozen or dry, the MRL ‘0,01(*)(p)’<

(32) under the ingredient CARFENTRAZONE-ETHYL,

under the item (vi) Miscellaneous , the MRL next to the item Others,

shall be deleted<

(33) under the ingredient AZOXYSTROBIN, under item

2. Vegetables, fresh or uncooked, frozen or dry, there shall be added

immediately after the item Parsnips, the item ‘Parsley’, with MRL

‘0,2’ and immediately after, the item ‘Radishes’, with MRL ‘0,2’<
