Special Registration Scheme (Amendment) (No. 2)

Regulations, 2007

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 11(2) of the

External Transactions Act, the Acting Prime Minister and Acting

Minister of Finance has made the following regulations>–

(1) The title of these regulations is the Special Registration

Scheme (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 2007 and they shall be read

and construed as one with the Special Registration Scheme Regulations,

2007, hereinafter referred to as “the principal regulations”.

(2) These regulations shall be deemed to have come into

force on the 31st July, 2007.

In regulation 4 of the principal regulations, for the words “31st

July, 2007” there shall be substituted the words “31st August, 2007”.

In regulation 5 of the principal regulations immediately after

the words “Registration of eligible assets shall be executed through”

there shall be inserted the words “the Central Bank of Malta and ”.

In sub-regulation (1) of regulation 12 of the principal

regulations immediately after the words “the Banking Act” there shall

be inserted the words “or at the Central Bank of Malta”.
