POLICE LICENCES ACT

(CAP. 128)

Police Licences (Amendment) Regulations, 2007

IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 3 of the Police

Licences Act, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice and

Home Affairs, with the concurrence of the Prime Minister and Minister

of Finance, has made the following regulations>-

(1) The title of these regulations is the Police Licences Title and

(Amendment) Regulations, 2007, and they shall be read and construed commencement.

as one with the Police Licences Regulations, 1949, hereinafter referred G.N. 846 of 1949.

(2) These regulations shall be deemed to have come into

force on the 1 st March, 2007.

The First Schedule to the principal regulations shall be Amends the First

Schedule to the

amended as follows> -

(a) in item 62, for the words “Classic, vintage and veteran

vehicles (manufactured before the 1 st January, 1971) certified

authentic by a body approved by the Malta Transport Authority”

there shall be substituted the words “Motor vehicles manufactured

on or before a date falling thirty years preceding the date of issue

or renewal of their licence and certified authentic by a body

approved by the Malta Transport Authority>”<

(b) in item 68, for the words “classic, vintage and veteran

vehicles (manufactured before the 1 st January, 1971) certified

authentic by a body approved by the Malta Transport Authority”

there shall be substituted the words “motor vehicles manufactured

on or before a date falling thirty years preceding the date of issue

or renewal of their licence and certified authentic by a body

approved by the Malta Transport Authority”<

(c) in item 70A, for the words “excluding classic, vintage

and veteran vehicles (manufactured before the 1 st January, 1971)

certified authentic by a body approved by the Malta Transport

Authority,” there shall be substituted the words “excluding motor

vehicles manufactured on or before a date falling thirty years

preceding the date of issue or renewal of their licence and certified

authentic by a body approved by the Malta Transport Authority,”<

and

(d) in item 70B, for the words “certified as an authentic

classic, vintage or veteran vehicle (manufactured before the 1 st

January, 1971) by a body approved by the Malta Transport

Authority” there shall be substituted the words “manufactured on

or before a date falling thirty years preceding the date of issue or

renewal of their licence and certified authentic by a body approved

by the Malta Transport Authority”<”.
