(CAP. 370)

Investment Services Act (Amendment of the Second Schedule)

Regulations, 2006

IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 12 of the Investment

Services Act, the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, acting on the

advice of the Malta Financial Services Authority, has made the following

regulations>–

Reg. 1 Citation and commencement. — Regulations, 2006 Open official source

(1) The title of these regulations is the Investment Services

Act (Amendment of the Second Schedule) Regulations, 2006 and shall

be read and construed as one with the second Schedule to the Investment

Services Act, hereinafter referred to as “the Second Schedule”.

(2) These regulations shall come into force on the 1 st

January, 2007.

Paragraph 7 of the Second Schedule shall be deleted.

Reg. 3 Consequential provision. — Regulations, 2006 Open official source

A reference in an investment services licence to any investment

service in relation to instruments included in paragraph 7 of the Second

Schedule, which paragraph is being deleted by regulation 2, shall be

deemed to have been deleted and shall have no further effect.

Accordingly licence holders with such a reference in their licence shall

without delay either surrender their licence to the competent authority

or submit such licence thereto for the appropriate amendments, as the

case may be, in accordance with requirements established by the

competent authority for this purpose.
