The Course leading to the Degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing Studies

(Honours) – B.Sc. (Nursing Studies Hons) – (Amendment)

Regulations, 2006

IN exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 30 (5) and 31

(6) of the Education Act (Cap. 327), the Chancellor of the University of

Malta has promulgated the following regulations made by the Senate of the

University of Malta by virtue of the powers conferred upon it by sections 31

and 35 of the said Act

Citation

These regulations may be cited as the Course leading to the Degree of

Bachelor of Science in Nursing Studies (Honours) – B.Sc. (Nursing Studies Hons) –

(Amendment) Regulations, 2006 and shall be read and construed as one with the

Course leading to the Degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing Studies (Honours)

– B.Sc. (Nursing Studies Hons) – Regulations, 1992, published as Legal Notice 104

of 1992, hereinafter referred to as “the principal regulations”.

Applicability

These regulations shall apply to courses starting in February 2004 or

later.

Amendment of regulation 10 of the principal regulations

After sub-paragraph (b) of paragraph (2) of regulation 10 of the

principal regulations there shall be added the following

“(c) Candidates following the mental health nursing stream shall be

required to sit for a paper in Community Mental Health Care instead of the

Primary Health Care paper.”
