MALTA STANDARDS AUTHORITY ACT

(CAP. 419)

Malta Standards Authority (Establishment of the Accreditation

Directorate) (Amendment) Order, 2006

IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 3 (14) of the Malta

Standards Authority Act, the Minister for Competitiveness and

Communications has made the following order>–

(1) The title of this Order is the Malta Standards Authority Citation and

commencement.

(Establishment of the Accreditation Directorate) (Amendment) Order,

2006 and it shall be read and construed as one with the Malta Standards

Authority (establishment of the Accreditation Directorate) Order, 2001, L.N. 313 of 2001.

hereinafter referred to as “the principal Order”.

(2) This Order shall be deemed to have come into force on

the 1st October, 2006.

In subregulation (2) of regulation 1 of the principal Order, the

words, “acting as the only National Accreditation Body in Malta” shall

be deleted.

Regulation 5 and 6 of the principal Order shall be deleted.

Deletes Regulation

5 and 6 of the

principal Order.
