GAMING ACT

(CAP. 400)

Rate of Taxation on Takings Generated by Junkets Regulations,

IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 50 (c) of the Gaming

Act, the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance has made the following

Regulations>-

Malta Government Gazette — Legal Notice 2006 170 — Rate of Taxation on Takings Generated by Junkets Regulations,

(1) The title of these Regulations is the Rate of Taxation on

Takings Generated by Junkets.

(2) These Regulations shall be deemed to have come into

force on the 8th August, 2006.

The rate of taxation generated by junkets shall be>

(a) On table games dedicated to junkets, on the gross takings

generated by junkets approved by the Authority a sum equivalent

to seven and one half per centum (7.5%).

(b) On gaming machines dedicated to junkets, on the gross

takings generated by junkets approved by the Authority a sum

equivalent to twelve and one half per centum (12.5%).
