EMPLOYMENT AND INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS ACT

(CAP. 452)

Wage Increase (Employees) National Standard Order, 2005

IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 4 of the Employment

and Industrial Relations Act, the Minister of Education, Youth and

Employment, on the recommendation of the Employment Relations

Board has made the following order>–

The title of this Order is the Wage Increase (Employees)

National Standard Order, 2005, and it shall come into effect on the 1 st

January, 2006.

Malta Government Gazette — Legal Notice 2005 411 — Wage Increase (Employees) National Standard Order, 2005

(1) The wages of whole-time employees shall be increased

by Lm2.25c per week, this being an adjustment for cost of living.

(2) The hourly rate of part-time employees shall be increased

by one-fortieth of the rate of increase specified in subarticle (1) hereof.
