LOCAL COUNCILS (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2005

(ACT NO. I OF 2005)

Commencement Notice

BY VIRTUE of the powers given by the provisions of sub-article

(2) of article 1 of the Local Councils (Amendment) Act, 2005, the Deputy

Prime Minister and Minister for Justice and Home Affairs has established

the 1 st Decemeber, 2005 as the date when the provisions of paragraph

(a) of article 2, articles 5, 6, 7, 9, 11, 14, paragraphs (a), (b) and (c) of

article 15, articles 16,17,18,20, sub-paragraphs (i) and (iii) of paragraph

(a) and sub-paragraph (iii) of paragraph (b) of article 21 and articles 22,

23 and 24 of the said Act, shall come into force.
