CONSUMER AFFAIRS ACT

Notice of coming into force of the Consumer Credit Regulations,

BY virtue of the powers conferred by article 7 of the Consumer

Affairs Act and for the purposes of regulation 1 of the Consumer Credit

Regulations 2005, the Minister for Competitiveness and

Communications has established the 18 th July, 2005 as the date when

regulations 2 to 4, 6 (1), 6 (2) (a), (b), (c), (d) and (e), 6 (4), 6 (5), 7 to

19 and the First, Fourth and Fifth Schedules of the said Consumer Credit

Regulations, 2005, published by Legal Notice 84 of 2005, shall come

into force, except in cases where any of the provisions thereof may

relate to home loan agreements, and the 1 st October, 2005 in respect of

all the remaining provisions of the said regulations.
