Implementation of Directive 2005#1#EC (to establish a new

organisational structure for financial services committees)

Order, 2005

IN virtue of the powers conferred by sub-article (2) of article 4

of the European Union Act, 2003, hereinafter referred to as “the

Act”, the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance has made the

following Order –

(1) The title of this Order is the Implementation of Directive

2005#1#EC (to establish a new organisational structure for financial

services committees) Order, 2005.

(2) This Directive established a new organisational structure

for financial services committees.

In this Order>

“the Directive” means the provisions of Council Directive

2005#1#EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 9

March 2005 amending Council Directives 73#239#EEC,

85#611#EEC, 91#675#EEC, 92#49#EEC and 93#6#EEC and

Directives 94#19#EC, 98#78#EC, 2000#12#EC, 2001#34#EC,

2002#83#EC and 2002#87.

The Directive is adopted as part of the laws of Malta and shall

have effect in Malta accordingly.
