TRUSTS (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2004

(ACT NO. XIII OF 2004)

Commencement Notice

(Parts IV and XIII)

BY virtue of the powers conferred by the provisions of subarticle

(2) of article 50 and of subarticle (2) of article 85 of the Trusts

(Amendment) Act, 2004 the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance

has established that>–

(i) the provisions of articles 51 to 57, 86, 87 and 89 of the

said Act shall come into force on 1st January, 2005<

(ii) the provisions of article 88 of the said Act which refer

to the addition of article 24A to the Income Tax Management Act

shall come into force on the 1st January, 2005<

(iii) the provisions of article 88 of the said Act which refer

to the addition of article 24B to the Income Tax Management Act

shall come into force on 1st December, 2004< and

(iv) the provisions of article 90 of the said Act shall be

deemed to have come into force on the 23rd November, 2004.
