EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING SERVICES ACT

(CAP. 343)

Technician Apprenticeship Scheme

(Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 2004

IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 37 of the

Employment and Training Services Act, the Minister of Education,

Youth and Employment, after consulting the Employment and Training

Corporation, has made the following regulations>–

(1) These regulations may be cited as the Technician

Apprenticeship Scheme (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 2004 and

they shall be read and construed as one with the Technician

Apprenticeship Scheme, 1990, hereinafter referred to as “the Scheme”.

(2) These regulations shall be deemed to have come into

force on the 5th April, 2004.

In regulation 8 of the Scheme, immediately after sub-regulation

(2) thereof, there shall be added the following>–

“(3) The provisions of this regulation shall be subject to

the provisions of the Young Persons (Employment) Regulations,

2003, in the case of apprentices between 15 and 18 years of age.”.
