AMENDMENT OF VARIOUS LAWS ACT, 2004

(ACT NO. III OF 2004)

Notice of coming into force of Part II

IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 5(2) of the

Amendment of Various Laws Act, 2004, the Minister of Education,

Youth and Employment has established, subject to the proviso

hereunder, the 27th day of December, 2002 as the date when articles 6

to 8 of the said Act shall be deemed to have come into force>

Provided that the provisions of article 6 of the Amendment

of Various Laws Act, 2004, which amends sub-article (5) of article

73 of the Employment and Industrial Relations Act, Cap. 452, shall

not apply to any case which on the date of publication of this notice

is pending before the Industrial Tribunal and in which the evidence

of any of the parties has been heard, and the composition of the

Tribunal in such case shall remain unchanged.
