Notice of coming into force of the Data Protection

(Processing of Personal Data in the Police Sector)

Regulations, 2004

IN exercise of the powers conferred by articles 5 and 54(m) of the

Data Protection Act, the Minister for Investment, Industry and

Information Technology has, in concurrence with the Deputy Prime

Minister and Minister for Justice and Home Affairs, appointed the 3rd

September, 2004 as the date when all the provisions of the Data

Protection (Processing of Personal Data in the Police Sector)

Regulations, 2004, published by Legal Notice 142 of 2004 on the 30th

March, 2004, shall come into force.
