TOBACCO (SMOKING CONTROL) ACT

(CAP. 315)

Labelling of Tobacco Products (Amendment) ( No. 2)

Regulations, 2004

IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 9 of the Tobacco

(Smoking Control) Act, the Minister of Health, the Elderly and

Community Care has made the following regulations>–

The title of these regulations is the Labelling of Tobacco

Products (Amendment) (No.2) Regulations, 2004 and they shall be read

and construed as one with the Labelling of Tobacco Products

Regulations, 2003, hereinafter referred to as “the principal regulations”.

In regulation 4 of the principal regulations immediately at the

end of sub-regulation (1) thereof, there shall be added the following

proviso>

“Provided that units of tobacco products sold from shops at a

sea or air passenger terminal shall carry one of the general warnings

in either the Maltese or English language.”.
