Regulation, 2004

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 54(2)(g) of the

Traffic Regulation Ordinance, the Minister for Urban Development and

Roads, in consultation with the Malta Transport Authority, and in

concurrence with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Justice

and Home Affiars, has made the following regulations>-

The title of these regulations is the Mdina (Restriction of

Access and Transit of Vehicles) Order, 2004.

No vehicle, other than karrozzin, shall have access to any street

or square inside Mdina nor circulate within that city at any time.

Notwithstanding the provisions of regulation 2 –

(a) vehicles licensed in the name of residents of Mdina,

bridal cars, ambulances, fire-fighting and police vehicles, hearses

and one funeral car, and vehicles being used by doctors on call on

a person within Mdina, shall have complete access and transit

therein at all times<

(b) commercial vehicles delivering or selling goods within

Mdina may circulate within Mdina for such purposes between
