Duty on Documents and Transfers (Amendment) Rules, 2004

IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 22 of the Duty on

Documents and Transfers Act, the Prime Minister and Minister of

Finance has made the following rules:-

(1) The title of these rules is the Duty on Documents and

Transfers (Amendment) Rules, 2004, and shall be read and construed

as one with the Duty on Documents and Transfers Rules, 1993,

hereinafter referred to as “the principal rules”.

(2) These rules are with effect from 30th June, 2004.

For the words “30 June, 2004” in paragraph 5 of rule 10 of the

principal rules there shall be substituted the words “31 st October, 2004”.
