These rc~u1atiollS shall he applicable for courses starting in October

Amendment of regulatiou 3 of thr principal regulations

'I.

For slIb-paragraph (a) of paragraph (l) of regulation 3 of the

principal rq;ulations there shall be substiltlled the follolring

B

U(a) a Bachelor's degree in Commerce or in Accounlancy with al least

second clas."i honours from this University or equivalent qualification; or"

Addition of paragraphs (4) and (5) to regulation 5 of the principal regulations

The following paragraphs (4) and (5) shall ne added alkr paragraph

(3) of regula lion 5 of the principal regulat.ions

"(4) Student.s wno after re-assessment fail in one study-unit of the

Transition Course shall be allowed provisionally to proceed to Pan One of the

Course and to follow and be assessed again once only. If unsuccessful, such

studems shall not be allowed to proceed with the Course.

(5) Students who after re·assessment fail in two or more study-ullils

of the Transition Course shall not be allowed to proceed with the Course."

Amendment of regulation 9 of the principal regulations

for paragraph (1) of regulation 9 of the principal regulations there

shall be sunstituted the following

·'9. (I) Part One of Ihe Course shall extend over the first two semesters,

during which student.s shall follow study-units chosen from the following areas

of studr, as directed by the Board

Stage One

(a) Accounting and Finance

(b) Organisational Behaviour

(c) ~lanagell1cnt Informat.ion Systems

(d) Operations ~lanagement

(e) Human Resource Management

(I) ~Iarketing ~Ianagement

(g) Information Systems ~lanagemenl
