Protection of Birds and Wild Rabbit (Amendment) (No. 2)

Regulations, 2003

IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 9, 10 (2) of the

Environment Protection Act, 2001, the Minister for Rural Affairs and

the Environment has made the following regulations>–

(1) The title of these regulations is the Protection of Birds Title and

commencement.

be read and construed as one with the Protection of Birds and Wild

Rabbit Regulations, 1993, hereinafter referred to as “the principal A.L. 146 of 1993.

(2) These regulations shall come into force on the 29th

August, 2003.

Immediately after sub-regulation (8) of regulation 2A of the Amends

“(9) The Minister shall consider the list of specially

protected birds recommended by the Ornis Committee under

paragraph (n) of subregulation (6) of this regulation and if he

approves the list such list shall be published as Schedule VII to

these regulations.”.

25 of the principal
