ENVIRONMENT PORTECTION ACT, 2001

(ACT NO. XX OF 2001)

Nomination of the planning authority

As the competent authority

BY virtue of the powers conferred on him by article 6 of the Environment Protection

Act, 2001 the Minister for Home Affairs and The Environment has nominated the

Planning Authority as the competent authority for the purposes of the said Act, to carry

out the functions of the competent authority under the said Act

So however that the said Minister may by regulations issued under the said Act,

establish that another person or body shall be responsible for the performance of such

regulations.

The notice relating to the nomination of the Environment Protection Department as

the Competent Authority, published by the Legal Notice 208 of 2001 is hereby repealed.
