Local Councils (Delegation of Enforcement) (Amendment)

(No.5) Order, 2000

IN exercise of the powers conferred by subsection (l) of section

33 and subsection (6) of section 36 and by Section 72 of the Local

Councils Act, 1993, the Minister for Justice and Local Government has

made the following order:-

This Order may be cited as the Local Councils (Delegation of

Enforcement) (Amendment) (No.5) Order, 2000 and shall be read and

construed as one with the Local Councils (Delegation of Enforcement)

Order, 2000, hereinafter referred to as "the principal Order".

In the Second Schedule to the principal Order for the words

"To be established" under the heading "Effective date of delegation"

there shall be substituted the following date:-

(i) for the localities under the heading "Local Council"

which are "Ghaxaq, Gudja, Marsaxlokk, Paola, Santa Lucija,

Tarxien and Zejtun" the date "23rd May, 2000";

(ii) for the localities under the heading "Local Council"

which are "Qorrni, Siggiewi and Zebbug (Malta)", the date "24th

May, 2000".
