Directive by the Minister of Finance

for the Issue of LmlO,OOO,OOO

6% Malta Government Stock 2007

(Third Issue)

IN exercise ofthe powers conferred by section 4(l)(a) ofthe Local

Loans (Registered Stock and Securities) Ordinance, Cap. 161, the

Minister of Finance has authorised that the sum ofLm 10,000,000 5.6%

Malta Government Stock be created and issued as follows:-

1. This Stock shall be issued as set out in the prospectus.

2. All persons and/or entities are eligible to apply for this Stock.

Allotment will be applied as set out in the prospectus.

3. An application for the Stock to be placed on the official list

and for trading on the Malta Stock Exchange will be made in terms of

the Malta Stock Exchange Act, when the Stock has been allotted.

4. The sum of money to be raised by the Stock shall be

5. Interest at the rate of Lm2.80 for every LmlOO Stock will be

payable half-yearly in arrear on the 10th day of June and on the 10th

day of December in every year for the duration of the Stock. The first

payment covering the period from the 11th day of June, 2000 to the

10th day of December, 2000 shall be made on the 10th day of December,

2000.

The Stock shall be redeemed at par on the 10th June, 2007.
