Extended Skill Training Scheme (Amendment)

Regulations, 2000

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 37 of the

Employment and Training Services Act, the Deputy Prime Minister

and Minister for Social Policy, after consulting the Employment and

Training Corporation, and with the concurrence of the Minister of

Finance, has made the following regulations:-

(1) These regulations may be cited as the Extended Skill

Training Scheme (Amendment) Regulations, 2000 and shall be read

and construed as one with the Extended Skill Training Scheme

Regulations, 1998, hereinafter referred to as "the principal regulations'.'.

(2) These regulations shall be deemed to have come into

force on the 1st October, 1999.

In the Maltese text of regulation 9 of the principal regulations,

Amends the Maltese

as amended by the Extended Skill Training Scheme (Amendment)

Regulations, 1999 (Legal Notice 180 of 1999), for paragraphs (7) and

(8) thereof there shall be substituted the following paragraphs:-

"(7) L-apprendisti li jassentu ruhhom mit-tahrig teoretiku

fi skola jkollhom l-ghotja ta' manteniment taghhom imnaqqsa

skond hekk.

(8) L-apprendisti li jassentu ruhhom mit-tahrig prattiku

jkollhom il-paga taghhom imnaqqsa mill-principal taghhom skond

hekk.

(9) L-apprendisti Ii jkunu mehtiega jirrepetu xi sena mill-

apprendistat taghhom, rna jkollhomx jedd ghall-ghotja ta'

manteniment matul is-sena lijkunu qeghdinjirrepetu. Madankollu,

ikollhom jedd ghall-paga Ii tinhareg mill-principal sakemm huma

jattendu ghat-tahrig prattiku.".
