PRISONS ACT

(CAP. 260)

Declaration of Ward 10 at Mount Carmel Hospital as a Prison

IN exercise of the powers conferred upon him by subsection (1) of

section 3 of the Prisons Act, the Minister for Home Affairs, in

consultation with the Minister of Health, has declared Ward 10 within

Mount Carmel Hospital as a prison, and this without prejudice to the

generality of the provisions of the Mental Health Act, Cap. 262, with

respect to the said Ward 10 being also a residential home for mentally

disordered persons.
