Import Duties Act

(Amendment of First Schedule) Regulations, 2000

IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 7 of the Import

Duties Act, the Minister of Finance has made the following

regulations:-

(1) The title of these regulations is the Import Duties Act Citation and

commencement

(Amendment of First Schedule) Regulations, 2000 and shall be read

and construed as one with the First Schedule to the Import Duties Act,

hereinafter referred to as "the Schedule".

(2) These regulations shall come into force on the 1st

January, 2001.

For the figures appearing in the "Rate of Duty" Column in the SUbsti~tion of

Schedule relative to the H.S. Code Numbers of the Customs Tariff =ul~:~

appearing in Schedule A hereto, there shall be substituted, in all cases, principal Act

the figure "0".
