Master of Arts in Financial Services - M.A. - Degree Course (Amendment)

Regulations, 2000

IN exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 30(5)

and 31 (6) of the Education Act (Cap. 327), the Chancellor of the

University of Malta has promulgated the following regulations made by

the Senate of the University of Malta by virtue of the powers conferred

upon it by sections 31 and 35 of the said Act

Citation

These regulations may be cited as the Master of Arts in Financial

Services - M.A. - Degree Course (Amendment) Regulations, 2000 and shall be

read and construed as one with the Master of Arts in Financial Services - M.A. -

Deg-ree Course Reg-ulations. 1997. published as Legal Notice 193 of 1997,

hereinafter referred to as "the principal regulations".

Applicability

These regulations shall be applicable to courses starting in October

~oo I or later.

Amendment of regulation 5 of the principal regulations

For sub-paragraph. (c) of paragraph (1) of regulation 5 of the

principal regulations there shall be substituted the following

professional qualifications in Accountancv or Accountancy and

Auditing recognised by the U niversitv for this purpose. or any other recognised

professional qualifications which are considered to be equivalent to a first degree

of this Universin', together with a minimum of seven years experience in a senior

position in a field related to the area of financial services: or"
